Whew, a week in detox has *almost* helped me to recover from my night with the gamedevs, and I can (belatedly) get back to blogging The State of Play. These posts will dribble out as I have time. First thing you might want to check out (if you haven't already) is the streamcast of the first session, which included Wagner James Au (aka Waggie Jim, aka Hamlet Linden) and Andrew Tepper (aka Teppie, aka Pharaoh). There is an especially cool discussion of Teppie's introduction of the sexist pig NPC into the narrative of A Tale in the Desert, and Ludlow talks about the possibility of Open Source versions of Second Life. You also get to see Beth Noveck's new hair cut! Notice though, what 48 hours with gamedevs and philosophers can do to the most 1337 5th ave. doo!
I caught the videos from the SOPII website. i even got to see my name mentioned! well, rather heard it. my point is, there stream hosting blows. I can only hear what you all said, and saw movement from the speaker once every 15 seconds. and i am running on broadband internet here. I would really like to see what went on, key word SEE. al though, i did like your presentation after au, prof.

EA got so owned by those videos. lol. Prof. talks about how bad stratics is and how bad he and ian are and how EA banned them for so many crimes, and then it's "i thought i would check in on old time infamous newbie scammer and hooker house runner " and where is it? still operating. and now running the same sham operations on a bigger scale in DC.
*a few laughs from crowd*
oh yes, EA is removing the right people alright. lol.
no wonder all the other game companies laugh at EA in secret. they are really quite pathetic with attempts of policy policing.
