W00t! The coolest virtual world you've ever been to officially turns two years old today, and the Grid rejoices with a party that will be all about "remembering the past and celebrating the future." Head over to the intersection of Bethel, Brilliant, Fortuna and Georgean sims at 3pm game-time and don't be shy about dipping in to the virtual punch bowl.
Besides celebrating, you can also get a look at what's made Second Life the always interesting place it is today. On display will be a Beta Time Capsule and a historical garden of objects and builds that had been lost to the mists of time but will be re-rezzed for the event. Residents will be able to display photos in a "gallery of dreams" (why dreams?) and the Grid's new "Legacy Tower" will get under way, envisioned as a permanent structure in which any resident can submit a photo and notecard that will be kept permanently as part of the structure. Don't worry if you miss the event, submissions will continue to be taken and photos will continue to be added, according to Pathfinder Linden.
From everyone at the Herald, here's to many happy returns of the day.
Happy Second Birthday, Second Life!
Happy Birthday SL. :D GW LL.

I guess those 1500 prims' worth of your bears in Cub blowing the prims of everyone else's lots were um...not the Terrible Twos but just "over-enthusiasm"?

i attended this celebration yesterday for about five minutes.
lag.lag.lag.lag.lag.lag. did love the two huge birds i was standing by, though. they were great.
but lindens, my little darlings, if you are gonna throw a party could you kinda sorta sit down first and talk amongst yourselves about server load and balance FIRST? it seems kinda weird to throw a party where its difficult for your guests to (a) arrive and (b) see & find each other. no wait i'm wrong! that lag thing was a party game, right?
kiss kiss,
