I started SL as a confused and bewildered wide eyed noob as I realized that SL was an endless possibility sandbox...I could be and do anything I wanted from minute to minute and it was awesome. It has changed so much since I first landed here, but I still have a lot of the same friends, as well as the same sorts of interests. SL keeps getting better every day.

My name comes from my favorite literary heroine in Harper Lee'S To Kill a Mockingbird...To me it is fitting...I think of myself as an adventurous and giving person that is well liked in many of the social spaces I travel to in SL. I have friends that are furries, goreans, and pubbies...and I have strived for tolerance of everyone I meet. I am hardly ever complacent myself, I spend most of my time between two shapes and hundreds of different avatar's and looks depending on what or where or even who I am at any given moment.

In the few years I have been playing this game, I have owned and built several sims, started a few businesses, joined in Roleplay, and designed, built, and coded anything I ever dreamed of bringing to life on screen (lol Ravenglass Fridge). I am both a W-Hat goon and a Woodbury Channer...I believe that in order to enjoy SL you have to do whatever makes you happy, and I pick and choose my life accordingly.

I recently donated my sim Longcat as a sandbox/e-home locale for the members of the awesome Woodbury university...of which I have many connections with in RL, I know many of the educators (its summer rite nao) on the project personally and have been delighted in the changes and direction Woodbury has been moving in lately...Its always exciting to be a part of something as unique and pioneering as WU, especially during these web 2.0 times. (like so meta)

I also wanted to say that I am about to Leave SL until early November. RL responsibility will take me away from ANY contact with a computer (or cell phone)...and I know that when I return, the crazy world we all inhabit will be here waiting for me, somewhere in the wires...a place with Witness X baaawwwring at whatever is fresh and young, Prokofy playing the SL Ann Coulter, Intlibber/Ansche, and the landbarons buying and selling dreamworlds, Fashionistas blogging, Furries thinking all hoomans hate them, SL armies dividing and fighting, all of the uninformed players complaining that LL doesnt do enough (they obviously do not remember telehubs), What and Woodbury pushing the envelope of good taste, and Everyone on the outside looking in, wishing that they knew WHAT THE FUCK is going on and how to cash in on it.

Scout Detritus is one of the big reasons Woodbury has any toehold on SL at all - he gave his sim to Tizzers Foxchase to run (who can't manage to stay online, due to being permabanned, along with Trebesan Clary who was banned for using CopyBot to help IntLibber build up Woodbury Sea). Tizzers closed Madelena out of decisions about how Longcat should be run, while at the same time denouncing Scout as "yesterdays news" in his Skype chats with the Woodbury people, and said he was "kicking Scout to the curb", and that "his time is over".

Great friends you've got there, Scout. You've been had.

Woodbury has made its fair share of mistakes in the past, but your incessant need to consistently barrage the comments with half-truths and skewed facts is extremely detrimental to your credibility (or all the Witness X's for that matter). Let's take a gander at some of your accusations.

Yes and no. Woodbury existed without a permanent location for almost a year. It is the people that make Woodbury, not some plot of e-grass.

Madelena voluntarily left Woodbury after moving back to the UK this summer. She is still an adviser on the project and will continue to assist us on PR related issues. She is also one of my best friends in real life.

Scout Detritus is someone that is dear to me in real life and is now closely integrated with the real Woodbury University (Where he will be competing his masters degree). He is not going away anytime soon.

I laugh at how many people get BUTTHURT over Woodbury.

That's why Woodbury is such a "bad thing" and people scream at Tizzers' name being mentioned. People make it out as a bad thing and let themselves get offended. What has Woodbury done to any of you? some claim it raids. The hell it does. some people who were members of the group (and are no longer) raided. Much of that was when Woodbury had a huge open door policy. Now we're a bit more picky.
The bad stuff you hear is mostly sock puppetry and certain individuals who either complain about everything that isn't their own little world view or their own controlled situation. Beyond that are people who will blindly follow someone else's word.

It's much like starting a rumor about someone in High School, a nasty one.

I could say someone is a pedophile over and over again, and let it spread until a majority of people thought it was true. No one would believe the accused at all because if so many people believe it it must be true, right?

SLCC was a blast and the one universal opinion we found there was that everybody now knows that the JLU are a bunch of lying griefing losers in spandex. The one member of the JLU there got a chance to sit down with us and find out the truth about whats been going on.

Woodburys suite party was a big success, it was at the same time as the Dublin party, cept Dublin tried charging 9 bucks a beer. Woodburys booze was free, and the crowds came and got a chance to meet Professor Ed Clift, Dean of the School of Media, Culture, and Design at WU, along with Tizzers, Trebesan, Berta, Scout, and myself (Shaun Altman arrived the next day). Everybody got a chance to meet the WU delegation and learn that, yes, WU really is a real university, really is accredited, and yes, really is in SL, contrary to the JLU lies.

Just like in SL, WU traffic at SLCC was the highest on the grid! More people came to our party than attended most of the education track seminars.

We had so much booze left over we supplied Nexeus Fatales party the next night, and the pool party at the hotel pool the next day (til an afro-suited hotel security guy came and Closed The Pool (Nicole and Trinity LOLed).

In RL, it has about a third the attendance of the smallest city college within a 50 mile radius.

Accredited? Yah. Just barely. Most of the rest of its accreditation is low grade or worthless. If you want to learn to arrange furniture, it's accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation. It's main accreditor handles places like Guam and handles mostly high schools.

It's a diploma mill.
