Alphaville Herald : Zonra Darkmatter -- Post 6 Furry

[I bumped into Zonra Darkmatter one day, fell in love with his kittycat avie and I was thrilled that he agreed to pose for us this week. During the course of explaining the Herald, and Post 6, I learned that Zonra is very new to Second Life but seems to be having a good time. Hi there Second Life Herald, my name is Zonra Darkmatter

I was approached and asked to take part in this by Timothy, who made me curious about this Post 6 thing. After learning about this blog and Post 6, I was willing to try it out, and so I did. I guess I should start introducing and talking about myself a bit, so here goes.

First of I am quite new to Second Life and still testing out the waters. So far I have had a really good time. I have met a lot of nice and interesting people, made a few nice friends and done a few interesting things as I explore SL. I got pulled into it by a very close friend of mine who has been playing for over 4 years and finally succeeded in convincing me to get into it, and now I don't think I will stop for years to come.

One of the things I've done so far in SL is joining the military organization “The Ordo Imperialis.” It has been very interesting and rewarding experience to apply, go though the scholar phase and finally pass and become an enlisted member of the organization. It's a nice organization to be a part of, and I do like how they have a semi-tight military structure and rules of conduct. It places a high value on duty, trust and working as a team towards a common goal. So it's a really nice community that I am happy to get the chance to be a part of.

One other thing that I found really interesting is to walk around shopping, and just seeing what great and interesting stuff that people have created in SL. I myself am an aspiring 3D builder still studying at a basic level with grand dreams of one day being a part of a game developer team. SL seems a great place to learn, so when I get some more time this summer I plan on trying to go into creating and building things on my own. Hopefully I will get some good results, and new experiences while doing this.

Well there you have my short rambling on by me about my new Second Life, and I have enjoyed writing this short text. But now I must be off to explore SL once more, and I always like to meet and talk to new people so if you ever run into me feel free to say hi if you want.
