This week the Alphaville Herald is proud to present a special parade of past Post 6 Grrrls as a Halloween Treat for its readers. The first is the lovely Jaime Wheeler, who first posed for Post 6 in August of 2007 for photographer Justine Babii.
[It is a special honor to introduce Jaime Wheeler because in my book she is not only a very accomplished person, she also gave me my first SL job, gave me photography lessons, and even gave me a little plot of land for my first studio. It is my extreme pleasure to introduce Jaime Wheeler, Post 6 Grrrl. -Timothy Morpork]
The Second Life Herald won't leave me alone, and I'm grateful. When I started in Second Life in 2006, the first friend I made was another noob by the name of Jimbo Quality. Months later I introduced Jimbo to my oldbie friend Marilyn Murphy. When Marilyn retired from the Herald, I was the first Post 6 model featured by my friend Justine Babii. A year or more later, I met a sharp guy named Timothy Morpork who was looking for something to do so I put him to work on my blog. It's a small world after all.
When Timothy asked me to come back and pose I was thrilled because I love his work, love the Herald, and love Halloween. I live in New England and the crisp fall air, brightly colored leaves and brilliant blue skies are magnificent, almost grand enough to forget that yet another cold and snowy winter is right behind it. I also love the season because that's when I started in Second Life. I remember sitting in pumpkin shaped camping chairs at Odds&Ends newbie place with Jimbo, trying to earn spacebux while plotting and scheming and laughing.
The last time I posed I believe I had just started SexySecond.com and had yet to start Sexy Second magazine. Both of them were successful beyond my wildest dreams, and I ended up selling the entire property to Celebrity Trollop. I made a lot of wonderful friends in that endeavor- talented writers and photographers, designers, entrepreneurs and of course our great readers. It was a great project and I miss the people I worked with and met, but I sure don't miss the deadlines, which is funny because I used to miss deadlines a lot.
Nowadays I don't get on as much as I used to, Second Life has a lot of been there done that for me now, but I still check in and say hi to my friends once in a while and I do try and keep up with the blogs. Timothy keeps trying to lure me back to blog for him, so you never know when it will take again.
Thanks for having me back again, it's a thrill and an honor to be here, even if I have to be dressed as a zombie and undressed as a vampire to do it. Happy Halloween everyone.
Peace,
Jaime
Very nice "halloweenish" pictures and a nice focus on other topics than the "Barbie-Girl" look of most female characters.
And now it is time for me to check P.N. s Blog and wait for the next "Abused Zombie" discussion there ;o)

Articulate, witty, and engaged. And nary a mention of shopping. Well done, Jaime. Nice choice, Timothy. (But next time, how about someone whose accomplishments are in some other field than the sex industry?)

I want to add an addendum to my comments on this post. I have since spoken to Jaime ... whom I found to be as well-spoken and intelligent in-world as she is in her post here ... and she has pointed out to me that my post contains one important bit of misinformation: she has never been in the "sex industry" in SL.
Point taken. My very sincere apologies to Jaime for that. In other regards, my post still stands: Jaime IS witty, articulate, and engaged. I very much hope that Timothy uses her as a sort of model of what a really interesting and successful Post 6 can look like.
