Amara Shino -- The 12 Days of Post 6-mus Grrrrls

[Day two of the 12 days of Post Six features my friend Amara Shino. I featured Amara's alt, Sigsbee Fuller, back in September. Because the twelve days feature is a way to reconnect Post 6 with its models from the past, I didn't want any avatars to debut in Post 6 this week, but I did want to acknowledge the Tuesday "new Post 6 Grrrl" deadline with a nod, so here is the gorgeous Amara, a new face from an old friend. -Timothy Morpork]



I'm back!  Well, kinda.  You might remember me as Sigsbee Fuller.  This is my oldest avie, Amara Shino.  Some people think my name is a pun on "Maraschino cherry" but I assure you, the similarity is a complete coincidence.  I've been around SL since summer of 2006 so I guess I qualify as an old-timer of sorts.  Unlike my other avie, this one has stayed very consistent in appearance.  In fact, this is still the same shape that I made on my first day in SL!

My interests have always revolved around music here in SL.  About two years ago I started to DJ at various clubs, doing anything from 70's punk to 80's pop to modern alternative/indy music.  SL is a great way to learn about new music and talk to other music fans.  Unfortunately, my RL schedule does not permit me to do a regular DJ set here in SL at this time, but that might change in the future if I'm lucky.

It's amazing when I think back to what SL was like in summer of 06 when I started.  It was right when they introduced the free basic membership and the SL population was exploding.  No sculpties, no flexie hair, no emerald viewer, no motion capture dances and AO poses.   A gorgeous avatar from 06 looks like a newbie decked out in freebie items now-a-days.  And I remember SL being way more laggy and unreliable back then too, if you can believe that.  So all you new arrivals, before you start complaining about SL, remember, it used to be a lot worse!

Amara is 5 foot 3 inches tall according to those SL height finder scripts.  That means when people tell me I am short, I tell them I am normal and they are giant freaks!  Most people in SL are way too tall, seven feet or more.  And guys, turn down the slider on the muscles,  most of you look like the stay puff marshmallow man.  Same goes for the balloon boobs ladies.  Cranking that boob size slider to 100 just makes them all blocky looking.  Ok, that's enough bitching about other people's avatars.....

Timothy, someone with your lack of skills should seriously focus on quality instead of quantity. And maybe get some poses that are not freebies...

The second pic says it all: the weird shadow on her right thigh is a complete no go and what the hell is stuck in her left thigh? And maybe you can ask your models to edit their attachments for certain poses cause those ankle things really suck.

Do we really have ten more of these train wrecks?

God, this one is really too easy.....one day I might figure out why these people actually believe that they look good, where is the pride. Hell, if you are going to pose naked at least look good doing it.

How about if you stop coming and looking at them instead? Your comments are always mean, often ignorant, and it's clear you have some weird boner on deck for Timothy, so how about you take your little black rain cloud somewhere else and the rest of us enjoy this without your sour disposition.

Kudos to the model for avoiding the typical standing poses where the model just cycle through the AO. Unlike you Takeshi, I think the model has provided the poses and tried to give us some pictures with more movement than we usually see. I doubt Timothy bother to come with any poses. The pictures would be much better if he used Secondlife light better. That ugly groin shadow could be much smaller, hardly noticeable, even without PS. Yes the ankle rings or whatever was a bad idea. Feet in SL are good damned hard to get to work with many poses. I like her body though. Look at her torso in the last picture. PS.... if you used an facial expression in the first pic, that would be great.
